Dynasty League Trade Offer

Postby avswsop91 » Sat Aug 25, 2012 9:11 pm

12 Team Dynasty, Head-to-Head Category League (C, 1B, 2B, 3B, SS, 3 OF, Util, 7 P) (6x6 league (QS & OPS))

Been Offered:
I Give: Hanley Ramirez and Tyler Skaggs
I Get: Gio Gonzalez and Statlin Castro

My Roster:
C – Willin Rosario, Travis d'Arnaud
1B – Eric Hosmer, Anthony Rizzo
2B – Ben Zobrist, Dustin Ackley
3B – Evan Longori, Mike Olt
SS – Hanley Ramirez
OF –Curtis Granderson, Jay Bruce, Jason Heyward, Corey Hart, Michael Cuddyer
SP – Cliff Lee, R.A. Dickey, Mat Latos, James McDonald, Jeff Samardzija, Jonathon Niese, Brett Anderson, Drew Promeranz, Tyler Skaggs, Danny Hultzen, Jake Odorizzi

I’m a rebuilding team that is playing for the furture. Should I accept this deal? I feel like I'm giving the better of the 2 shortstops but getting the much better starting pitching. What do you think?

If I were you I'd do this deal because you need SP and Gio is a better pitcher than Skaggs ever will be.

I think I would do it, with the caveat that if you think Hanley has returned to a top 20-25 player then turn it down.

It's hard to replace infield hitters in dynasty leagues.

That's a pretty bold statement considering Skaggs' upside.

I would probably do the deal, but it's not a lock. Is Hanley going to keep SS eligibility in your league? If not, I'd go for it.

He has played 20 games at SS now he is will keep his SS eligibility. Does that change things?
