As of today, he's the major league leader in K's with 195, 3 more than Verlander with the same number of starts (26). Of course you'll never know which Max you're going to get - when he's good he's very good, when he's bad, he's very, very bad - but the Ks are pretty consistent. He's K/9 are right there with Strasburg at 11+/9. Of course he gives up a few more hits and runs.
He's becoming a poor man's Zack Greinke. When they're on, they're great. But they have enough stinkers to drain their value over the course of a season.

And you can never predict the bad games. It's so tempting to draft these guys because the potential is there, but it's also frustrating to own them and realize "this isn't the year".
