8/24 - 8/26 Cheering, Venting, & Jeter the Cheater

Postby bigh0rt » Fri Aug 24, 2012 1:10 pm

Yesterday's big water cooler sports talk in New York was over Skip Bayless' accusations that 'The Captain' Derek Jeter may be enjoying his aged 'rejuvenation' by less than natural means.

Here is a snippet of Bayless' comments...
The Skipper wrote:"I am shocked by what I'm seeing from Derek Jeter right now. They all said he was washed up. All of a sudden, this man has turned 38 years of age in June and already he has more hits than he had last year. ... I'm seeing a whole new guy this year from last year ... Are you kidding me? You would have to have your head in the sand or your head somewhere else not to at least wonder, 'How is he doing this?'"

Usually I find Skip Bayless to be clown shoes; a guy who has made a career taking the ridiculous stance simply to play devil's advocate and keep his name in the mouths of outraged sports fan, insinuating what a fool he is. While this only perpetuates that feeling, I smile from ear to ear at the Bronx explosion over their precious Captain being called out on having one of his best seasons in the last decade, at age 28. :-)

They're not mad, actually. It's more of a feeling of...

Here was Jeter's retort... keep in mind there's no denial in using PEDs anywhere in it...
Numba 2 wrote: "Whenever you have people that anytime you bring something like this to light with guys that are doing things, it's like, now you have everybody questioning everything," Jeter said. "That's the unfortunate thing. Maybe Skip should be tested."

Asked if he was bothered by Bayless' backhanded accusation, Jeter shrugged.

"This is a first for me, man," Jeter said. "I don't know what to tell you ... What do you want me to say? I ain't getting involved with this, man. You can say whatever you want to say now, huh? There's no repercussions."

It seems blatantly obvious to anybody not wiping their hineys with pinstriped toilet paper that Jeter is injecting his buttocks, rubbing clear, and snorting lines of HGH on a nightly basis. Probably includes them in his little gift baskets he gives to his one night stands. I'm waiting for Melky and Fatolo to name him as their source. Can we get a fake web site please? At this point, essentially guy who has ever worn pinstripes has been implicated in some way for PEDs, so the notion that Jeter wasn't the one at the top of that pyramid is childish fairy tale. It's not Derek Jeter who leaves you presents on Christmas morning, kiddies. Cause if it was you'd get nothing but hypodermic needles, Extenze, and bacne medication from the Yankee shortstop.

In other breaking PED news...

Just another Yankee on the long, long list...

What does McKalya Maroney think of this?

Skip Clueless is really fun to watch make an ass out of himself, but sometimes his conspiracy theories do make a lot of sense, and I'm with him in thinking Jeter is juicing. But I'm a Red Sox fan so I'm supposed to think that right?

h0rt, you have swayed me to bench Grienke also. I've also got Moore and Fiers going today on other teams.

Lynn/Latos is such a volatile matchup, I'm benching them across the board. Off to a great pitching week everywhere between Sale/Madbum/Kershaw/Medlen and Harvey. McDonald has been my only stinker, but it wasn't nearly as bad as the crap Aceves took last night.

I went on a spot starting spree today...

I have Samardzija, Edwin Jackson, and Carlos Villanueva going through spot starts. I also have Matt Moore going too, but he isnt a spot start :)

I'm surprised Samardzija is available, and E-Jax as well. I'd spot start Patrick Corbin, who I'd assume is available based on the two former spot starters you picked up for today, well before I started Villanueva.

Corbin unfortunately is unavailable in this league.
