10 team mixed head to head.
My playoff spot is no longer a sure thing. I have one waiver wire move left to make. My ERA and WHIP are a lost cause this week thanks to Harrell and Saunders. I am a win behind and 5 strikeouts ahead. He has 6 remaining starts to my 5.
Do I...
A. Drop Tyler Greene for David Murphy or Tyler Colvin for an offensive boost
or
B. Use my last waiver wire move of the week to pick up a pitcher like Mike Minor, Chen, or Quintana?
I'm really stuck here.
Leave a link for WHIR.
Thanks for any advice.

We are currently just about even in offensive stats.

Good point.
Thanks.
I am waiting it out for Sunday to see if one more starter might win me one or more category. If I don't pick up Bailey that is.

Unless you know the league and the team intimately, these kinds of day-to-day strategy moves are tough to evaluate. We don't know how much you need the "offense boost" option, we don't know the team you're playing and how you match up, we don't know the league settings, etc.
This. But I like Minor for the rest of the season quite a bit so I'd probably add him and drop either Harrell or Saunders.

I would add the best available pitcher for Sunday. And by best available, I mean a combination of- playing an easy team, pitching vs. a bad opposing pitcher, and having a K/9 of at least 7 (which would give you decent K totals).
Best wait until the end of the day though and then post your options here. Might be easier that way. Best of luck

Thanks. Had my eye on Minor but someone else got him.
Definitely gonna wait until tomorrow. Slim pickings for pitchers in my league tomorrow though.

Ended up picking up Andrew Bailey to manage the risk of losing saves production from Aceves. Will have to see how this one plays out. Hope to hell they don't go to closer by committee nonsense.
