And was pretty much value less the rest of the way. If you're one dimensional, you better hit, hit, hit. SF showed the value of defense and base running.

are you arguing for Cabrera and against Trout? or for Trout and against Cabrera? one could say Cabrera was more valuable because the Tigers made the playoffs and Trout's team the Angels did not. but you could argue that Trout was valuable because before he arrived in LA near the end of April, the Angels were struggling. but even then you're talking about teams, where even with a star player many of the other players are why a team makes the playoffs.

In a very small sample of watching MCab play 3rd base, it shocks me that players don't just continuously bunt at him.
Are Gold Glove voters the same people who vote for MVP? Because there's no chance for Trout to win MVP if voters aren't even recognizing him as a Gold Glove winner.

nope. managers and coaches vote for gold gloves. absolutely insane that trout got robbed of the gold glove though.

Haha... I was just fanning the flames, but... Exactly.
Anyone know when the awards for MVP are announced?

Thanks! I'm looking forward to manager of the year too, particularly in the AL. As/Os should come down to Melvin vs Showalter. A's had 1 more win than the O's and won their division, so I'd go with Melvin, but there's so many east coast fanboys out there it's going to be close.

Because it's not actually that easy to lay down a perfect bunt down the 3rd base line. There would be too many cases of the pitcher or catcher fielding it to make it worthwhile.
