I get confused when everybody gives it Trout for a first good few months
I forget, how did Trout do down the stretch? Was he still the next Cobb or Mantle...i forgetful
Mike Trout put up a better WAR than Miguel Cabrera in September. But sure, continue to ignore baserunning and defense in order to fit your story of how MCab carried his team into the postseason despite winning less games than the Angels. Obviously MCab willed the rest of his division to be terrible so that the Tigers could squeak into the playoffs with only 88 wins.
I'd like to know why, if base running is so important, you continue to tout Posey for NL MVP

because posey was still better (or at least on par) with baserunning included?

what players do in the post season is irrelevant. last I remember, the voting was completed once the season was over and before the post season started, correct?
IMO Trout had the better overall season for the MVP with everything included, but I think Cabrera will win the award. likely too many voters who put more stock in triple crown numbers involving overrated statistics like HR and RBI.
Performance wise, Trout >> Miggy. But Miggy made the playoffs and won the triple crown. So he wins the MVP.
Performance wise, Posey and Braun are very close. A heck of a lot closer than Miggy and Trout or 2011's Kemp and Braun. And since Posey made the playoffs, he will win the MVP. And Posey should win it based on how the 2011 Kemp vs. Braun situation played out. You can make a legitimate argument as to why Posey is better than Braun this year, unlike 2011 where Kemp was far away the better player.
