AL MVP. Mike Trout show?

Postby lastingsgriller » Tue Oct 02, 2012 11:57 am

I've heard that mike trout is a big douche and he makes zack greinke feel really bad. If zack isn't happy, zack pitches bad. This lowers the valuableness of trout. It's all about value here.

Dont discount the value of getting to the playoffs vs not in the voting process and being in Miggy's favor.

In no way saying that drives every voter and every decision (insert Arod comment here) but I bet its a factor for older grizzled voters and/or other voters who just feel that way.

FYP.

Trout should still be the MVP, just saying...

Trout is putting up the most impressive season in baseball since the GOAT Bonds was doing his thing. He's the MVP.

How can he win the Triple Crown Award without getting a triple crown? Does not compute.

Trout's numbers are just ridiculous.
I assume both Cabrera and Trout will play tonight. Trout has 22 less games than Cabrera (with only 138 games played to date), but he still has incredible numbers.
the SB numbers are impressive currently with 49, but look deeper and he has only been caught 4 times.

Cabrera getting the triple crown in offensive categories is impressive no doubt, but in today's game with all the numbers it shouldn't be as meaningful as it once was.

I could be happy with either of them winning the MVP, but I would vote for Trout.

I couldn't care less who wins, but I think that they will give it to Cabrera.

Years players won the triple crown:
1878; 1887; 1894; 1901; 1909; 1922; 1925; 1933; 1933; 1934; 1937; 1942; 1947; 1956; 1966; 1967

No one's won since '67 so... you're claim is false. If, as you say, "in today's game with all the numbers it shouldn't be as meaningful as it once was," then folks would be racking up triple crowns every year. In fact, as the numbers indicate, it's harder to get the triple crown now than before. So Cabrera's possible feat is even more meaningful than it would have been in, say, 1934.
