This. There's a good chance Hamilton ends up in the OF, and he simply does not have the contact ability, plate discipline, or power to be a fantasy superstar. Juan Pierre with even more steals is an impact player, but Machado could be a top 20 player. Machado's age makes me not care about his stats so much; he has a lot of projection left.

Machado has the higher ceiling and projects to be a lot more well-rounded, but it depends on the rest of your team. If your other keepers are a lot more power than speed, and this is Roto not H2H, I would take Hamilton all day.
