Jacob Turner is pitching today for Detroit, and I need to make room on my roster for him if I want to bring him up. I'm in contention, and pitching is where I stand to make the most gains. I can get away with leaving him in his Minor League spot for this start, but I'll have to promote him soon enough, regardless. Who should I drop to make room? My current staff is as follows (incl. salary, which increases $3/year):
Kershaw $34
McCarthy $4
Niese $3
Milone $1
Quintana $1
Anderson $1
Iwakuma $1
Clippard $3
Frieri $8
Henderson $1
Soriano $1
Street $14
Pineda ($4) and Starling Marte ($1) are currently taking up my DL spots, so Street is eating up one of my bench spots.
I'm considering dropping Huston Street, since I don't see him getting any more than a couple saves down the stretch, and I don't think he's worth $17 next year. Saves is the one pitching cat I'm doing well in (2nd with 111; 1st has 125, 3rd and 4th have 102 and 71).
The other 2 I'm considering dropping are Henderson or Quintana. Thoughts? Need to make a move by this afternoon's starts!
Of course, WHIR
