Tonight's Game from a Fantasy Standpoint

Last time I will sit him based on past stats, I'll stick with him this
year until he proves me wrong. This O's team will give him some
run support, and I may have a steal with Ponson.

I expect Boston to come out smacking the ball around. The Yankees just whipped up on Tampa Bay, so Boston will want to make some noise too.

Do you really think that the Red Sox offense sits around and watches Yankee games to see if they will do well so they have more reason to hit well in their game? I don't really understand your viewpoint on that one. Baseball players have a lot more crap to worry about other than the box score of a Yankee-Devil Ray game.

I'm neither a Boston fan, nor a Yankee fan but the Red Sox have been chasing the Yankees for a long time. Just look at the deals made this offseason. The Yanks had a bad first game and then exploded in the second. Do you really believe that the Sox are unaware of that? They want to explode too and be mentioned right there every time the Yankees are mentioned this season. So bottom line is "yes" I believe that the way the Yankees are playing will affect the thought process in Boston. Even more so this year with so much invested in the team.

I disagree, I think the only thing that players think about is getting the W at the end of the day. Management and the front office is a different story. I highly doubt that the Red Sox players were a little more juiced tonight because the Yanks stomped on the D-Rays the other day. It sure didn't get them the win.

I'm sure they were. Imagine if you're a all A student in school and your rival gets all A+. Wouldn't you be more hyped to work harder? lol. very bad example.
