San Francisco Giants at Los Angeles Dodgers, (L) Madison Bumgarner (13-7) vs. (L) Clayton Kershaw (11-6)
Possibly the top two CY Young candidates facing off tonight. I'm gonna be tuning in.
I remember seeing a Gregg Maddux vs Curt Schilling duel where I think ATL won over the DBacks 1-0, and my friend after the game commented on how boring the game was. Personally I would rather see a close game of any score than a blowout, and a pitching duel is probably my favorite type of game to watch, especially when they are two of the top pitchers in the league.

Skipping ahead a day here, but Brett Anderson returns from the DL tomorrow. Unless they go with a 6-man rotation the A's need to bump someone. Straily?

Been hearing Parker, though I have to admit I wouldn't be overly crestfallen if Straily misses some starts and stays under 50IP so I can keep him as a minor-leaguer for next season
Is Wandy still going to start tonight after pitching 2 innings last night? He's listed as probable and they used everybody except for Burnett, Bedard and McDonald. This could be ugly, he will have to go deep tonight because that bullpen is tired.
"Texas closer Joe Nathan struck out the side in his inning of work on Monday against the Orioles. Nathan went 1-2-3 in the ninth inning against Baltimore to earn his 25th save of the season. Nathan made quick work of Baltimore as he lowered his ERA to 2.61 on the year." (Updated 08/20/12)
And the score was 5-1. CBS...you, sir, owe me one save.

Much as the homer in me wants a case to be made for Hamels and as much as it pains me to stroke the ego of a Giant fan's homerism, the kid is good. He dealt tonight.

Dude didn't deal any better than Kershaw/Dickey, but did come up with the win.
