Red Sox decided to give Crawford the surgery, so he's done. The question is: do I add another bench batter (for "just in case" scenarios), or do I add another pitcher to get some more points?

I should note that there are few teams with inactive managers who are nowhere near the playoffs, so there are actually a few decent FA options out there. If you're wondering "how is this guy available?" in a 12 team league, the answer is I don't know.


NOTE: Trade deadline has passed, so added someone and saying, "well you could always trade so-and-so later" doesn't make sense...they have to be worth something to me for the rest of the season

Add Brett Anderson. He starts tomorrow. Straily could get the bump from the rotation. Keep an eye on that.

I would also dump Santana for Pence & play matchups with him & Cruz.

I also think Anderson is worth an add. Also, Santana should be dropped for either Pence or Kubel (probably Pence).
