Who to keep on a stacked team?

Postby chillbro » Mon Aug 20, 2012 9:25 am

Well this seasons wrapping up and I'm pretty sure I've got the cat in the bag for the championship. Now my problem is who do i keep for next year? We can keep 4 players, its an 8-man weekly H2H points league, but instead of pitchers you take a whole teams pitching staff. All advice is appreciated, heres my lineup-

C-Joe Mauer
1B-Albert Pujols
2B-Ian Kinsler
SS- Starlin Castro
3B-Evan Longoria
OF-Mike Trout
OF-Carlos Gonzalez
OF-Jay Bruce
U-Mike Morse
Bench:
OF-Bryce Harper
OF-Carl Crawford
3B-Kevin Youkilis
2B/OF- Howard Kendrick
C-Mike Napoli

Trout, Cargo, Kinsler, Pujols

Those would be the 4 I keep.

Pujols, Trout, and CarGo are no-brainers. The last pick is a tough one between Kinsler and Longoria but I think in terms of sheer value Kinsler is your man.

This. I take Longo over Kinsler, by just a hair.

I'll second this. Though I do like Castro because of his upside and the fact he plays a relatively shallow position. Longoria is great, when he plays. I wouldn't be too shy about keeping Castro and letting Longoria walk. Though, if salaries aren't an issue in your league, it could be kind of foolish to let Longo go. But it's something to think about.
