Time to start thinking about '13... Who to keep?

Well, with just an outside shot at the playoffs this year it's time to start thinking about selecting my 5 keepers for next season. We have a $260 salary cap per team. All players not kept go back into the pool and will be re-drafted next season. My roster is as follows. All prices listed next to the player are what they will be worth NEXT season in order for me to tag them as a keeper. Feedback is always appreciated.

McCutchen, Bumgarner, and Moore are the only locks as they'd surely go for a lot more in the draft. Machado is a lottery ticket and Middlebrooks is solid value, but you could swap in Cespedes or Harvey or something if you have a good feeling. No one else jumps out as extreme value. I imagine Longoria, Cargo, Fielder will go for around the same.

Definitely these 4, Castro is a decent shortstop in a shallow position. Cargo and mccutchen are top 5 outfielders, Longo is one of the better 3rd basemen, and Bumgarner is your best pitcher. Help w/ mine? we have pretty similar lineups- viewtopic.php?f=26&t=451906

This takes some deep thought... But I might be leaning toward McCutchen, Cespedes, Bumgarner, Moore. This gives you 4 solid players to build around and still gives you a lot of spending money to possibly bring back your other players a cheap cost. I was thinking of Castro instead of Cespedes, but I'm really liking the price of Cespedes and I love him for next season.

the other 4 simply because you want the best players on your team. it obviously eats up a lot of your budget, but you get the best players and figure out the rest.

While it's tempting to keep the best players on your list, the studs are basically at (CarGo) or above (Longo) market value. If you want them next season you're going to spend about the same amount. Keep the value.

Thanks guys. You pretty much confirmed for the most part what I was leaning towards doing anyways. I'm thinking Moore, Cespedes, Bumgarner, McCutchen, and Castro. That laves me with roughly $160 to spend in the draft next season and maybe I can scoop up a guy like Longoria for less than $44, due to his consistent injury issues this year and last. Gonzalez is tempting to keep, and honestly I'll probably end up re-drafting him next season if the price is reasonable. He helps in every category. Prince is gone, but I acquired him in a trade so I wasn't really planning on keeping him around at his pricetag regardless. Thanks again.
