Prep for playoff and stretch....

Postby Pav » Sun Aug 19, 2012 2:11 pm

Playoffs are: Week 22, 23, 24
H2H - Mixed, 12 teams, Daily, W-L-T

Pitchers: W, K, ER, ERA, WHIP, K/BB, ER, CG, SHO
SV, HLD

Monday I will be drop Mike Fiers (Mil - SP,RP) and Wandy Rodriguez (Pit - SP) for Jon Lester (Bos - SP) and Jonathon Niese (NYM - SP).

Also, we have HLDs and SVs. I have Vinnie Pestano and Ernesto Frieri. Do I stick with them or look for other options on FA below? I know I won't win HLDs or SVs at all since I only have 2 RP. Do I maybe try for all HLDs. I know either one can go weeks without getting that cat.

Batters: R, H, 1B, 2B, 3B, HR, RBI, SB, TB, A, FPCT, AVG, OPS, CYC, OFA

Then I have decided to drop Kubel. I've been patient long enough. I really can't afford to hold onto him anymore in this league when he sits so much. I need production now or else.

Having said that, I like Swisher for Kubel. I feel he's going to finish strong and he's getting stats across the board for me. R, RBI, HR, TB, etc.

I also considered Desmond Jennings.

I really like how my roster is shaping up for next 2 weeks then playoffs.

Suggestions?

Weeks is on fire; also I like Desmond Jennings. Altuve has not been great lately; also, that lineup has no production. I would see about more OF help; I like EY Jr., but don't like starting him at OF if you can start him at 2b.

For Holds and Saves, it doesn't matter if you lose 5-4 or 5-0. A loss is a loss is a loss. I like the idea of going after someone who can get holds. Unfortunately, I do not play in any Holds leagues so can not give you advice on that matter.

Help with mine:

Thanks for the response. I was just going to ask about Altuve. Also I can't put EY Jr as 2B. I need Assists which he won't give me.

If Hill is better ROS over Altuve?

Also, why don't you like Swisher?

I would take Weeks over Hill. I do like Swish, but I really like Jennings, and the Rays are starting to catch fire. They will make the playoffs and may chase down the Yankees.
