Too much for Headley? WHIR

Postby CubsFan4Life23 » Fri Aug 17, 2012 8:40 pm

So, I will have to drop someone in the coming week or so to make room for Bonifacio...I need his steals. Do I make this trade

Give: Pablo and Prado
Get: Headley

Or should I target Goldschmidt, Butler, or someone else...I am looking for a good OBP hitter who plays either 1B or 3B...Pablo has been bust this season...Prado is decent but inconsistent. Thanks for the help.

10 Team H2H (5x5, OBP replaces AVG), keeper (we keep 6)
My team:

C- Posey
1B - Miggy
2B - ZObrist
SS - Jeter
3B - Prado
OF - Kemp
OF - Braun
OF - Jennings
U - Hart
U - Willingham
B - Machado
B - Altuve
B - Pablo
DL -Bonifacio

I still think Headley is playing out of his head this year.

I would look at using Pablo to get a 1b and then shifting miggy to 3b. More value there.

Help with mine:

Butler for Prado and Panda sounds good.

I would try Panda for Goldschmidt, personally. In a keeper I think that is good value. Move up to offer both Panda and Prado for Butler if you can't land the first. On Headley, I think his value will continue to be only moderate as long as he's playing in SD.

Thanks for the help on mine!

Butler, all day. If you can get him for Panda and Prado, that's a no brainer, whether it's keeper or just this season. People forget Butler is just 26 because he's been in the majors since he was 21, but he was a guy people were projecting to do .300 and 30 every year - looks like he's going to do just that as he enters his prime.

Your thoughts would be welcome: viewtopic.php?t=451864
