Longo and Joey Bats trade - 4 team trade WHIR

Ok I've been working on a 3 team trade with 2 of my league mates and was looking for some thoughts.

I'm currently sitting in 1st place with playoffs starting next week. I will have a 2 week buy which should be plenty of time to get my elite guys ready from the DL, Joey Bats - Evan Longoria - Ian Desmond also I'll get Brett Anderson and Jaime Garcia back for SP depth which I need so badly.

Here's the deal in a nut shell, but needs some minorish tweaks so I can work on a deal with a 4th team.

I receive: Kemp - Hosmer - Haren
Team A: Longoria and Bautista
Team B: Lincy - Medlen - HanRam - Swish

EDIT:

I receive: Kemp, Hosmer, Haren, Lincy, Beltre & Plouffe
Team A: Longoria, Bautista, Pineda & Olt
Team B: Medlen, Gallardo, Beltran, HanRam & Jennings

Once I get Beltre (hopefully), I will involve a 4th team to get the following:

Send: Hosmer and Beltre
Receive: A.Gonzalez

Go for A.Gonzo or NO? Is the new trade good 4 me??

So essentially, if I do a Gonzo trade this is how it looks:

Sending: Longo - Bautista - Gallardo - Beltran - Olt
Receiving: Kemp - A.Gonzalez - Haren - Lincy - Plouffe

My starting 3B will be Pedro Alvarez and Trevor Plouffe combo which I'd be fine with...

Or I could sell Hosmer and parts for upgrade elsewhere...

So, am I drastically improving my team or am I better off holding onto Longo, Bautista and parts??

Kinda depends on what you have to give up for beltre, right? It wont be insignifficant. And if you do pull it off, I'd be tempted to hang onto beltre instead of grabbing gonzo, just to avoid the fairly big downgrade at 3B, but I see your logic.

I do like the rest of the deal for you, but I'm not sure its a drastic upgrade for your playoff run.

I love the idea of getting Kemp and Cargo....but not really sold on Haren, Lincy (he really worries me), and Plouffe

This is really tough..so it is probably a fair deal. Just not sure if I would do it.

Yeah, I do worry about those other 3 too. And I assume you meant to type Gonzo and not Cargo. If it was Cargo, I'd snap call the $h17 out of that

Other opinions out there willing to help out??

For this year I think you get some good help, but in the long run I think this might be counteractive. I'm really not sure who Gonzo is (Adrian Gonzalez?) so since its not CarGo and if its not Adrian Gonzalez, I wouldn't do this personally. If that's the case, tweak it a bit so you grab Lincy and Kemp somehow still though, they'll help you out tons

Sorry for the confusion, we're talking about Adrian Gonzalez. I would put him in my OF.

I like the bats you get in Kemp and AGon. I dunno what to make of Plouffe and have lost confidence in Lincecum. Gallardo a wildcard but has pitched better of late.

On the whole I do it, but only if you get that AGonzo deal done too. Hosmer and co. won't help you this year.

You most definitely need to get that second part of the deal done for this to work in your favour. Otherwise, I am not in favour of making the first move. Even though there are several spare parts involved, they seem to not sit well.

Your goal was to address your pitching, so your bats are in place and you have done so. I have not seen your entire team..... My gut says I'd be willing to roll with Longo and a returning Bautista.... But I dont know your existing lineup... Based on whta you have shared.... You have obviously put a lot of work into this..... It must be in your favour. Get it done!

I was happy "as poop" to unload Lincecum earlier this year.

Thanks for the follow up. I have my team and league settings at the top of this thread.

I may end up switching Gallardo for Kennedy after last nights gem of a start. Not entirely sure.

I'm still on the fence about this trade....???
