Trade for J. Upton or Heyward - WHIR

I will be the contrarian here. I am sort of leaning Heyward. How many times must J. Upton underperform before people get tired of using a top round pick on the guy? He has 9 Hrs and we are in mid-August. He seems to alternate good and bad years.

Heyward had a crummy, injury plagued sophomore year but he has stepped up this year and is only 23.

Neither is a slam dunk imo. Just tired of J. Upton giving seasons like his brother.

I agree with the others. Upton is the one to target, although I think it is closer than the others seem to.

I would move Rios and Bruce for Upton. Would only trade Rios straight up for Heyward. Upton becomes your #3 keeper, behind Cutch and AGonz in my opinion.

The more I see Heyward play, the more I'm liking this kid. I'd almost put Heyward above J Up at this point. J Up just really isn't doing squat all year and Heyward seems to continually improve his numbers. The type of regression we're seeing from J Up is pretty disconcerting, maybe its Gibson or the organization on a whole, injury, or maybe he's just like his brother .

I'd take the gamble on JayHey...

I think either way you go, it's a risk...neither of them have shown consistency year after year...both are still young, not close to their prime, though Heyward is further off than Upton...I dealt Upton and Pence along with others to land Kemp when he was on the DL...Glad I did...

I think you still have to go with Upton, but it's definitely not the easiest decision to make and think either way you cannot go wrong...Heyward plays on a better team...

When all is said and done...it beats keeping Rios.
