Agreed. If the season ended today, I think Dickey is the winner. When all is said and done, I think it will be a two man race between Kershaw and MadBum. I just see at least a few more poor outings on the horizon for Dickey which will inflate his ERA/WHIP just enough to put him behind those two. Regardless, it will be fun to see how the rest of the season unfolds. Right now it's really anyone's guess with a ton of very deserving pitchers all grouped relatively close to each other.
I think Bumgarner's performance last night moved him into the top 2. He's been nasty as of late and has the Ws, ERA, Ks, and WHIP to compete with Dickey.

Bumgarner's problem is that there are people better than him in pretty much every category. he's just really good at everything but not spectacular in any one thing.
His WHIP since the all-star break though: 0.76
He's definitely inching closer to Dickey, a lot could change in the next 8 or so starts.

I understand what you mean, but pitching is an art, and it shouldn't matter how you get them out as long as you are the best at it.

Id be surprised if Bumgarner didnt have better numbers than Dickey across the boar by the end of the season, with the exception of K's. 20 K's is a lot to make up in 8 starts

Cueto tied for the lead league in wins, and best in ERA. But I think Chapman is definitely going to be in contention. It's crazy to think that Chapman has more K's this year then Jared Weaver (who seems to be the favorite for the AL Cy Young).
