Braun is my No. 1 overall next year, and while it's awfully close and you can't go wrong I'd rather have the Hebrew Hammer. Gotta love the speed upside, and when both are at their best the rest is a push in my mind. MCab might be a hair more safe, but it's splitting hairs, especially with identical salaries.
Agreed with WaCougMBS. Personally I prefer Cabrera b/c 3B is a tougher position to fill and he's got better lineup protection and more offensive firepower around him (means more RBI and R), but it is splitting hairs.

Not saying you're wrong, Braun is obviously an excellent choice for first pick, however, he's currently in a sizable slump.
Miguel Cabrera doesn't slump.
The kind of consistency that Miguel Cabrera supplies is incomprehensible. Every week he will give you virtually the same line, some weeks they'll be slightly more ridiculous than the last. Braun, however, puts up a poor week here and there. He's more of a human. Miggy is more of a machine. It makes a huge difference in fantasy, particularly in h2h formats.
And to boot, Miggy is a 3B, arguably the shallowest position in fantasy currently. OF are a dime a dozen these days.
Miggy is on a MUCH stronger lineup and plays a much shallower position. Not only that, but Miggy is usually both 1st/3rd eligible in most leagues. I would not make this deal, it seems pointless.

A much stronger lineup in a worse league in my opinion.
The AL central has got to have the worst pitching out of all the divisions, which Miggy takes full advantage of. The NL central has the Cards who are stacked with ace pitchers and even the Bucco's and Cinci have solid staffs.
I know it's not a big factor but everything must play a role in your decision when deciding between two elite players. like Braun and Miggy.

Miggy at 3b is further ahead of Braun.
MY THOUGHTS EXACTLY!
Me too. I might even slightly prefer braun over a 1B only M-cab, but with 3B eligibility, its a fairly easy call. You need to be getting something else back to make this a fair deal.
