Mitch Moreland
Martin Perez

Receive:
James Shields
Michael Brantley
Andrew Bailey
Luke Gregerson

My team sits at 14-3, is this a deal that is worth doing for me?

It's hard to gauge how this trade works for you without being able to see the rest of your offer. But assuming you're fine at first base, I would take it.

I'm not really into Martin Perez, personally. I think he could do well someday, but his strikeout rate has been going down as he comes up through the minors and he'll be pitching in Texas for a while.

Shields has a team option coming up next year so he should be in Tampa next season. Brantley is finally hitting for average again and has a little speed.. Gregerson is locked in San Diego for the next few seasons which is great. Bailey will probably be Boston's closer next year, and he's also locked in until 2015.

Without knowing what your team's needs are, if I were offered this trade, I'd take it.

Also too, Perez got switched to the 31st pick of 40 in a MLB First Year Player Draft (Draft is players from the most recent draft..Correa, Buxton, etc.)

I have Goldschmidt, Youkilis, and Trumbo all with 1B eligibility already to answer your question.
