I'm evaluating some trade opportunities in a 12 team 6x6 Keeper league (ops + holds) and having trouble evaluating Longorias value given this years injury.
What round / pick do you see him going in a keeper league in 2013?
I have him ranked around 50th overall. So late 4th / early 5th round.
Team Izzy C Mauer 1 E5 2 Cano 3 ARam S Rollins CI LaRoche MI Altuve O Melky, Pagan, Morse, Hunter, Ruggiano SP Lee, Fister, Estrada, McCarthy, Lohse RP Chapman, Jansen, Frieri, Fujikawa Bench 1 Hart S Cabrera O Eaton U Ortiz P Marcum P Miller P Fernandez
Longoria's an OPP (Other Player's Problem) for me. At 26, "injury prone" is not a good label to have.
Like most, I haven't done 2013 rankings yet, but I'd probably take these 3B over him:
Miggy Bautista Wright
Personally, I'd lump him in with Beltre and Hanley as the next tier. Someone, though, is bound to overvalue him based on his potential and the fact that he's turning the magic age of 27.

yep, this is why i have him ranked so 'low'

I think I would take Longo if I saw him in round 3 without thinking twice. Injury prone only lets me let a player of that caliber drop so far... and usually if I see Longo in the 3rd round i jump on it (Just like I did with Josh Hamilton this season).
It will be interesting to see where Hanley Ramirez goes now that he has regained SS elibility for next season.
I would also love to see where guys like Lawrie and Moustakas go next season.

Bautista won't have 3b eligibility next year. I don't even think he's started 1 game there this year.

This. And it sucks. I have him in a keeper league and wish he could have kept that 3B eligibility. Not that having a killer OF hurts but it will be difficult to replace his 3rd base production with someone else of consequence in the draft. Maybe I'll focus on Frazier/Middlebrooks for next year. I see Trumbo, Headley, Rodriguez, and Lawrie being grouped fairly close and being midly keepable in a 12 team, 6 keepers league.
I will not touch Longoria in any draft. I never liked him before at his ADP and definitely dont like him now. Has even had a single season that hes produced at his draft price?
In a keeper I think he won't last past the 3rd round. He's still pretty young and the talent is still there. Depending on who is available I would probably gamble on him in the 2nd round.
