Ranks these SS for ROS.

Postby ron paul for pres » Sun Aug 12, 2012 1:59 pm

12 team, H2H, 5x5, non-keeper

Asdrubal, Rutledge, Machado, Desmond

I have Rutledge starting and Asdrubal on the bench right now. Was planning on dropping Rutledge for Desmond soon. Desmond should come back right around the time Tulo puts Rutledge back on the bench. But what about Machado?

C - Santana
1B - Morse
2B - Kinsler
3B - Miggy
SS - Rutledge
OF - Hamilton, Beltran, A Jackson
DH - Butler
BN - Bruce, Asdrubal, empty space (dropped Middlebrooks; about to pick up Bautista if he clears waivers)

SP - Strasburg, Greinke, Cueto, Lynn, Moore, Darvish, McCarthy, Billingsley, Dempster, Straily
RP - Clippard, Putz, Storen
DL - Garza

Very interesting grouping.
I would say that Asdrubal is the safest. He will give you .280 a couple homers and a handful of steals.
The others are more interesting to me.
I heard that Rutledge will move back to his natural position 2nd when Tulo comes back (one of the reasons for trading Scutaro), so don't count on him going to the bench. Huge upside with some protection and hitting in Coors!
Machado shouldn't be doing what he did this week. Is it a fluke, or does he keep it up?
What about Desmond's injury? Does he pick up where he left off?
I think I would rather have Rutledge over Desmond, but Machado is the one that really intrigues me. I might take a flyer on him over either of the other two.
Help me
