I have Manny Machado for Plouffe's slot now, and I am not sure Plouffe would beat Machado for the MI slot.
Which of these SP would you accept in this deal? I need Wins, Winning Pct., Strikeouts
Rick Porcello Bartolo Colon Phil Hughes David Price Brandon Morrow CC Sabathia Jason Hammel Luis Mendoza
Let me clarify. Some of these are obvious - this is entire pitching staff of my trading partner. I am trying to figure out what I can get, not just assuming these names are available. Please do not answer Price and CC; I doubt I am getting them. The question is which ones would you take.
I am down to asking for one of two pitchers - do I ask for Brandon Morrow or Phil Hughes?

Morrow and Hammel also intriguing trade candidates. The owner may want to hold on considering they've had them this long but they could also be frustrated about how long it's taken. Both are due back soon and are expected to have few issues going forward. As you may remember they, were both having career years.
As for Machado vs Plouffe, I think it's too soon to tell yet.
I just noticed some don't read so well as they answered Price/CC....lol
I do have to go with a few people here and say if you can wait a short while I would look at Morrow/Hammel (Morrow preferably as he was dominate before he went down but he also has been on the DL longer thus making the other manager not easily inclined to part with a guy he has held onto for a while now)
After that or if you can't wait then I would look at Hughes and possibly but a last resort of Colon.....
Good luck my friend!! (and if you could get CC/Price that would be completely awesome so......lol)

I agree with this. If it's down to Hughes or Morrow, I'd probably take Morrow, but I don't think you could go wrong either way. Hughes has been great, and is obviously on a good team that should get him consistent wins even if he doesn't get the quality start. You won't get the strikeouts, but you'll get the W's and W%. You don't need Plouffe now that you have Machado, so I like the move for Morrow, and if not him, then Hughes.
Apologies for the delayed response. I just checked the thread you helped out with this morning.
Just a thought - the team I am trading with is my major contender for 1st place, and he needs saves. I still think it's worth making, as I may be able to pass him in strikeouts and ERA. Does that change anyone's opinion? Btw, I am leaning towards Hughes (pitching now vs. coming back soon); also has 63 K in 79 IP in his last 12 starts; Morrow has 67 K in 77.2 IP in 13 starts this year. So, that is very close, and I think Hughes has better control and is a safer bet for the rest of the year (safer Ks, era, whip, wins, and winning pct.).
