I need another move for Championship run[AWHIR]

Postby TruYankeeFan » Sat Aug 11, 2012 3:22 pm

Going into this week I have a 10.5 game lead over the rest of the league, and 4 weeks left before the playoffs. I want to set myself up for the Championship run....as well as make a few shrewd pickups as we are shifting to a keeper league next year.

Just dropped Axford and McDonald for Janssen and Minor

My biggest concern now is C...with Ruiz out for at least 4 more weeks and Napoli fighting a leg issue now...I am very worried there. Best available there are AJ Ellis, Russell Martin, John Jaso, Michael McKenry, Salvador Perez or Geovany Soto (guess makes most sense as handcuff for Napoli?).

With only 4 weeks left in reg season should I drop Arod or Ruiz?

C-Napoli
1B-Prince
2B-Altuve
SS-Jeter
3B-Chris Johnson
OF-CarGo
OF-Melky Cabrera
OF-B Harper
UT-A Craig
BN-, Cespedes, ARod, Ruiz(DL)

SP-Kershaw, Dempster, Harrison, Zimmermann, Fiers, Hughes, Shields, Minor

RP -Chapman, Janssen, Wilhelmson

12 team h2h catgegory w/ (r, rbi, tb, obp, netsb x ip, sv, k, era, whip) daily roster changes and 6 waiver moves a week.

My overall rank by stat: R (1st), RBI (6th), TB (2nd), OBP (2nd), netSB (4th)....IP (1st), SV(3rd), k (1st), ERA (1st), WHIP (3rd).

Any other move you would suggest on top of or instead of the above?

Thanks!

Leave a link will help in return ;-D

I wouldn't drop A-Rod since he should come back for the fantasy playoffs and he could be very valuable in those last couple of weeks. I would either drop Phil Hughes or Carlos Ruiz. Leaning towards Phil Hughes, but that's really up to you and whatever you think your team can handle losing.

And I would def pick Salvador Perez out of those catchers, he is young and has a lot of potential.

Great Napoli to DL...now both my catchers are out...anyone know how serious and how long?

I am thinking once I know which C is supposed to be back first I will drop the other...anyone else thing I should pick up someone other than Salvador Perez?

If the catchers will be back for the Fantasy Playoffs, hold onto them. They will not cost you a 10.5 game lead.

No, Salvador Perez is definitely the guy to pick up.
