Napoli and draft pick for Putz and Santana? WHIR ALWAYS

Should I trade my Mike Napoli and a draft pick for J.J. Putz and Carlos Santana? Mike Napoli has pretty good keeper value in our league, he can be kept in the 8th round next year. And with 7 keepers for every team thats pretty good value.

I feel like Carlos Santana would def be an upgrade over Napoli down the stretch, since he has been hot lately and usually has big second halfs. I had faith in Napoli having a rebound second half, but since he has a quad injury that will likely bother him the rest of the season that can def prevent him from having the resurgence. I also need a closer since I lost Santiago Casilla, and I am likely about to lose Houston Street to the DL for a little while as well.

So should I make this trade, will it help me down the stretch? I am in first place by 10 games and I am hoping that when all my guys get healthy I can make a strong championship run. What kind of draft pick should I include in this trade though? I was thinking somewhere between a 9th-12th.

EDIT: I could also trade Pineda to another owner in my league, move A-Rod to the DL then just pick up Lucroy, Rosario, Ellis, or Saltalamachia off the FA .

Well...since this is for ROS...and you would not keep Napoli...I would def do this in a heartbeat. Especially since I am hearing Napoli may have a leg issue going on...and may not be the guy we were hoping.

Seconded. You could use the RP insurance, and Carlos Santana is heating up big time. If he's figured it out, especially with Napoli's issues currently, he'll be more valuable alone. Getting Putz is icing on the cake IMO. I agree with TruYankeeFan...see if he'll bite on Napoli + a 12th.

Make the trade.
Napoli has been (nearly) abysmal all year expect for a few HR on occasion.
You are getting the best player in the deal for the rest of the year AND moving forward.

I like Rosario if you can get him. He has a ton of power and gets to hit at Coors 1/2 the time. He WILL get ABs at C, 1B, or 3B (yes, Jim Tracy has tried this a few times...sad for Rox fans).

I would do it. The season he had last year is seeming to be an outlier in his career. I like this deal for you. I would lean towards picking up lucroy if you can. Then Rosario

I'd do it as well. I just don't trust Napoli at all... he reminds me of Uggla. WAY TOO inconsistent. Pull the trigger!
