i have a dilemma, or maybe i dont... I kept Hosmer in the last round (24th) to start this season, and Ive held tight with him the entire season simply becasue i can keep him in the 22nd next year. But im beginning to think maybe thats not such a great idea.
In this league we can keep up to 8 players, but only 5 may be kept from rounds 1-10 (and you must have a draft pick available in the round you wish to keep the player). Must keep at least 1 pitcher and 1 hitter. Undrafted FA/waiver pickups may be kept in any round the owner chooses (so basically the latest round possible not used on another keeper). Also this league starts 4 OF, 1 UT My first 6 keepers are pretty straightforward: Rd 1 M Cabrera Rd 3 Bautista Rd 4 J Upton Rd 7 Ellsbury Rd 10 Granderson Rd 20 Lawrie ---------------------- Im having trouble deciding on my final 2 keepers, remember at least one of these guys must be a pitcher: Rd 12 Morrow Rd 17 Fister Rd 18 Kipnis Rd 18 K Jansen Rd 19 Rios Rd 22 Hosmer Rd 24 Harvey (FA pickup) Rd 24 Craig (FA pickup) Rd 24 Minor (FA pickup) Rd 24 Reed (FA pickup) Rd 24 Liriano (FA pickup) ****EDIT**** Rd 24 Harvey (FA pickup) ( i completely forgot about him in the initial write up)
so what do you guys think?

I say you keep Morrow and Hosmer. tons and tons of players go through sophomore slumps. He's still so young and showed great potential last year. It would be a huge mistake to just let him go.

Interesting that you would pick Jansen over Morrow or Fister. I was actually leaning that way as well, because proven elite closers are pretty hard to come by, and at that price hes a huge bargain... but it seems weird going into a draft where 80-95 players are kept and I dont have a single SP locked up. I would have to spend ~4 of my first 5 picks on SP if I want to have a chance to compete in any pitching cats besides K's and Saves (we count ERA, whip, W, SV, QS, K)

Ive tried and the problem is that nobody wants anything to do with Hosmer. He simply has almost no trade value in my league, even as a super late round keeper.
I can't keep both Kipnis and Craig. I need to keep at least 1 pitcher, and considering the first 6 hitters i listed, the pitcher is goign to have to be a late rounder (i can only keep a max of 5 players from rounds 1-10. the rest from 11-24)
Morrow and Craig. I had the same questions about keeping Hosmer or not. I've tried to trade for Craig but haven't managed to get it done yet, other managers are obviously seeing the same good value in Allen as I am.
