Just realized nothing was up and I wanted to cheer on my newest addition.
Manny Machado tonight: 2 for 3 with 2 HR and 4 RBIs, loving it so far. I saw the second one and it was a laser shot that went way out. Dude has some pop.
in other news, what are people doing with Hosmer? is he even on anyones keeper radar anymore? i've stuck with all season long (he owns my bench) simply becasue i can keep him in the 22nd rd next yr... but now im thinking even that might be a waste, especially when i could keep a guy like Craig, who actually appears to be a legitimate baseball player, even later than that.

Well I traded him away in my nonkeeper league. I think he still has a ton of value though. Sophomore slumps are nothing new. Look at the season Heyward is putting together after his disastrous sophomore campaign.
In other news, I read ESPN's brief player profile on Astros 2B Jose Altuve and started cracking up...
Altuve's reached base 12 times in his last five games, and has recently shown that he can draw a significant number of walks. It looks like the Astros have their leadoff hitter of the future, now they just have to find the rest of the team.
