Hanley Ramirez or Josh Rutledge? WHIR 100%

Postby LittleTree » Fri Aug 10, 2012 1:04 pm

The playoffs have already begun in my league and I am doing well so far. However, I still believe that I can upgrade my team by adding Josh Rutledge. I am thinking about dropping either Freese or Stubbs to pick up Rutledge off of waivers. However, Stubbs has been on a pretty great hot streak and Freese has been OK. If I dropped Freese, I can move HanRam to 3B and put Rutledge at SS. I am in a 10-team, non-keeper league. What do you think? WHIR.

I have been struggling with the same question of Rutledge I feel like he should be owned in every league, but don't know who to drop for him. You are in the same boat. Rutledge will give you a boost in power. But Freese and Stubbs have been very hot since the All Star break. All three players should be owned.
I think Stubbs is least likely to keep the hot streak going. He is hitting .233 for the year. If you are going to drop one of them I would probably say Stubbs or even Ellsbury. Freese is very streaky, but the average is always high.

I like Rutledge over Stubbs given the overall situation

I agree with the others, drop Stubbs for Rutledge. He's not likely to keep it up and his BA is a killer.

Of the guys you have to drop I feel like Stubbs has to be the guy.
