Postby bucketheadriff » Fri Aug 10, 2012 4:06 am

10-team espn standard league, H2H Categories, non-keeper league
My team:
c wieters
1b reynolds
2nd Cano
3rd aviles
ss andrus
2nd/ss izturis
1/3b m. young
of stanton, choo, hart, carlos lee, belt, stubbs
utility a.j. peirsinsky
DL Votto, Brett Lawrie
SP cliff lee, james shields, vogelson, blanton, zito, bruce chen, detwiler, ervin santana
rp balfour, jim johnson

Hello, I am currently in the cellar in my fantasy league, but I would like to improve my team because i"m friends with my remaining opponents for the year, and would like to knock them out of the playoffs. I want a solid pitcher and was wondering if trading Robinson Cano, Joe Blanton, and Bruce Chen to receive: CC Sabathia, Hunter Pence, and Lance Lynn, would be a good idea to improve my team
Basically Cano for Sabathia, Pence, and Lynn. Thanks to all who respond

Never ever make that deal.

If you're getting rid of Robinson Cano, you need a name like Albert Pujols, Matt Kemp, Joey Votto, etc. in return.

The best player you're getting in return is a lower 1st tier pitcher. Not good enough.

If you're trying to improve your team, this is not the deal you want to be making.

It's not a keeper league, and I owned Sabathia last year, and the year before, he starts rolling for the last two months every year. I never get wins in H2H, plus I have middle infielders, and Hunter Pence will pick back up
