How to Clear Roster Room? WHIR

Postby sigriffey » Thu Aug 09, 2012 6:55 pm

I will need to clear two roster spots + more very soon. Any thoughts? Barring any injuries further, here's the sitch:

-Machado can be dropped when Papi returns (i hope on Sunday)
-Pagan can be dropped when Hanson returns (supposedly Aug 15)
-Who to drop when Bonifacio returns?
-Who to drop when Bautista returns?

It seems I'd have to drop Greg Holland for one of those last two, which is bad enough. But THEN what do I do? As is, I don't want to drop anyone further.

Find someone in your league who has 2 or fewer closers and send them a proposal involving holland and one of your bats for a solid SP.

Yeah I would try to make a deal with someone. If that fails, I would keep Bonifacio on the DL unless you really need steals. Sometimes I keep players in my DL slots just so other owners can't take them. Even when they're playing, I keep them on the DL until I need to make a transaction.

I have confidence that you can pull off a trade. :-D

You need to try for a 2 for 1 somewhere...anywhere.

First of all, that might be the greatest fantasy baseball team I have ever seen. I hope you are winning your league by a lot. Secondly, as everyone else has said, try a 2 for 1 trade first to add one more stud to your team. If that doesn't work, I would look at Fister and Lincecum, but only if you think Bonifacio will provide more value than either of those two. Otherwise, I might drop Bonifacio.

Help with mine?

So I have to agree with your first three moves...but that last one is a killer

I would see what you can do on option for sure. If not, as much as I hate that guy...maybe you do what football is suggesting and just leave Hanson on the DL til a spot opens up.

Little help?
