Viciedo and 10th round pick for Lincecum? WHIR ALWAYS

Postby ATLbraves » Wed Aug 08, 2012 11:33 pm

Should I trade my Dayan Viciedo and a 10th round draft pick for Tim Lincecum?

Viciedo can be kept in the 18th round next year, so he has good keeper status in our league. Lincecum would not be a good keeper since he was drafted so high. I just feel like I need to shore up my pitching staff for the playoffs since I have been hit by some injuries, and Sale is going to be shutdown at some point.

I think this is a very fair deal considering that looking at your team you aren't likely to keep Viciedo, and then hopefully have either Ortiz or Rodriguez to plug into that Util spot for the playoffs. I myself would have a tough time keeping Viciedo, especially since his stats this season are inflated from an off the charts May. Otherwise, he has been pretty mediocre. I like Lincecum for the rest of the season, especially with him exclusively facing NL West teams in September, which could be great for a playoff push.

I would do it, low pick to lose and Viciedo ain't worth much on your bench

Hope Sale doesn't get shut down, gotta hope the Sox stay in it, haven't heard of an innings cap. Either way make the deal

This trade definitely helps your team for the stretch run. Losing Viciedo doesn't hurt too much. I would do it.

I would do this because I'm not too high on Viciedo anyway. I feel like if you have a shot to win it this season its a really good idea.

I would do this, might be a little worry about lincecums problems but thats a more than fair investment for a rebound

With a healthy bench, this is a no brainer. However, with both ARod and Papi injured, you would be compromising your UTIL spot for the time being unless you cut a pitcher for a hitter. I would hold off as close to the trade deadline as possible, but ultimately take the deal and run.
