Not a life-changing decision, but I'm wondering if, with Cook's recent struggles, if I should drop Homer Bailey to get a little insurance at RP. The problem is that we can only start 3, so it doesn't make sense to carry 4 when I could be getting a SP's points instead. What do you think?
I was also considering dropping Bailey for one of the following bats: -Justin Morneau -Ben Revere -Corey Hart -Carl Crawford -Hunter Pence (on waivers, clears tomorrow...have 10th claim) -Jason Kubel (on waivers, clears tomorrow)
Crawford, Pence, and Kubel are all attractive due to Harper's recent struggles. If you think I should put in a claim on Pence or Kubel, let me know WHICH YOU WOULD PREFER, so I can set up a waiver priority in case I miss out on one.
Thanks, and leave a link!!
Team/league info here:
12 teams H2H Points 1 year
C: Buster Posey 1B: Mark Teixeira 2B: Robinson Cano 3B: David Wright SS: Starlin Castro OF: Mike Trout OF: Nelson Cruz OF: Yoenis Cespedes Util: Ryan Zimmerman BN: Bryce Harper, Carlos Santana, Josh Rutledge
SP: Justin Verlander, Matt Moore, Adam Wainwright, Tim Lincecum, Josh Johnson, Phil Hughes, Michael Fiers, Homer Bailey, Mike Minor, Daniel Straily RP: Greg Holland, Addison Reed, Ryan Cook DL: Andrew Cashner, Johan Santana
Well since it's H2H points, speed doesn't really matter unless he steals enough bases to be worth more than someone who makes solid contact. But he's been tearing it up lately. I guess I'll let someone else take the bait on Pence/Kubel, and roll the dice on Crawford myself.

I think I like Kubel the most. But Kubel has been scuffling a little lately and got the day off today (and maybe tomorrow). It seems like there are plenty of good options on the WW so might just go with the hottest hand approach (that would be Crawford now).
