I had the intention of trading Carlos Beltran to get R.A. Dickey to fortify my rotation. In light of the recent news that Jose Bautista is being sent for a second MRI on his wrist due to lingering discomfort, can I still afford to make this deal for Dickey or am I better off holding onto Beltran? Currently in second place, 5 games back of 1st. Want to be strong offensively and pitchingwise down the stretch.

Your team is crazy good, and you make more trades then anyone. But I don't think I would do this one. Your pitching is just fine and Beltran may be more valuable to your team. It's not looking good for Bautista and he could get shut down.
Yeah like the last guy said, you make an insane amount of trades. And obviously rightfully so, since you have a ridiculous team b/c of all these trades. But I think you DEFINITELY should just sit tight. You dont need to fortify anything, your team is absolutely stacked. Enjoy it and just coast into the playoffs. Your team will definitely compete and will likely win it all imo.

What if I traded Beltran and Napoli for Dickey and Miguel Montero? Yes or stand pat?
Not too bad. I have been contemplating trading Napoli as well, I thought he was due for a big second half like he had last season but he is being hampered by a quad injury. That type of injury can easily linger the remainder of the season, and that def wouldn't be good.
Here's the thing though, I am not a believer in Dickey. I think he is going to continue to regress the remainder of the season. He just put up too stellar of numbers in the first half. So if I was you, I would target another SP. You should easily be able to get another upper-tier SP with Beltran, and if that team has a good catcher as well just do the same package.
Unfortunately, the guy who has Miguel Montero has a bad staff ... he has Lance Lynn, Dickey and Strailey ... other guys are mediocre. I trust Dickey among those 3 probly.
There's a guy with Ian Kennedy, but his catcher is Jesus Montero.
I could still make a pitch for Brian McCann but I doubt this owner wants to sell him, and he gave me Beltran.

Yeah I obviously like McCann, if there is anyway you can get him then your offense would def be set.
