Which hurt pitcher to drop? WHIR

Postby footballisbetter.com » Mon Aug 06, 2012 2:06 pm

This is a h2h points league where SP's are valued.

I am in the first round of playoffs starting this week.

2nd round is 2 weeks long, and the world series is a 3 week best out of 3 series. So there is only 5-6 weeks left of season. I don't want to hold onto a pitcher who will spend the majority of that time on the DL.

I have Jamie Garcia, Matt Garza, AJ Griffin and Shaun Marcum all on the DL.

Which one should I drop for G Holland? Or which one will be out the longest?

I would drop AJ Griffin personally, especially since he was just put on the DL and is likely the furthest away from returning.

Thanks for help with mine.

This is tough to predict sometimes. You never know if rehab starts are needed, etc. or guys might reinjure themselves.

Griffin, I think. The A's rotation is about to get crowded with the return of McCarthy and Anderson. They may take some time with Griffin. And you'd want to make sure that he has a spot to come back to.

I think Griffin (might be out awhile) then I would go Marcum not much to play for they might shut him down if he suffers another setback.
