buying low on Hosmer? WHIR

Was just offered Hosmer for Ike Davis and Plouffe...should I pull the trigger?

10 Team H2H (5x5, OBP replaces AVG), keeper (we keep 6)

For what purpose? He isn't going to start at first or in one of your utility spots over who you already have. And for what purpose do you want to buy low on him? Its now August, he has shown zero signs of turning it around this year. He is the low point in my lineup by a large margin and I can't get anything for him.

I am asking b.c it's a keeper league...he may not overall help me this season, but I could possibly keep him next year...I am guessing that may not be such a good idea?

With the roster you have now, I see several players I would take as a keeper over Hosmer. Posey, Miggy, Kemp, Braun, Kershaw, Bumgarner, Latos, and Zimmerman. I might even want to take Lee or Halladay. So I say no to this deal because are you really going to take Hosmer over any of these highly proven players?
