If you need the OF help, pick him up.

Even with Pence and Victorino around, he managed to get a lot of at-bats as a 34-year-old. His tsats should only go up now with more opportunities assuming his legs don't die on him. Since Pence and Victorino have left, Pierre has gone 4-for-7 with 2 runs and 2 stolen bases in three games. Small sample size, yes, but he's batting .312 with 27 steals on the season.

You've got the right idea. He'll surely see more playing time with Pence and Vic gone.

Unfortunately, you guys have it backwards...

The trades of Victorino and Pence actually HURT Juan Pierre. Why? Because it's now evident that the Phils have no illusions of competing this year. That means they give the youth movement more time to gain experience for 2013. Juan Pierre is shown as a backup on the Phils depth chart. Scheiroltz/Mayberry/D. brown are the front men.

Pierre does deserve a shot of being an everyday leadoff man somewhere but it won't happen until 2013. He won't get enough AB's to justify using him, unless your league is NL only or very deep.

Props. I didn't think of it that way.

haha couldn't think of a fantasy team name so I went with my favorite simpsons character and it's stuck ever since.
