who should i trade between Giallardo and Matt Moore

Postby rainbowjeremy » Wed Aug 01, 2012 10:08 am

Someone offered me Cole Hamels for Werth, Greg Holland and Giallardo OR Moore. I don't really need Werth or Holland, and I think cole will be a horse down the stretch. The question is, who would you guys rather get rid of for the rest of the season, Moore or Giallardo??

Thanks for the help everyone!!!

I would trade Moore unless this is a keeper then I would trade Gallardo and keep Moore.

I'd trade Moore in that situation. Gallardo's giving you slightly higher K/9 numbers (9.0 to 8.5) and better BB/9 numbers (3.6 to 4.3), plus I'll almost always take the NL pitcher over AL, especially in the AL East. Rays play exclusively AL East rivals in September, aside from a series at home vs. Texas and a four-game series at the White Sox.

Trade Moore. He's got potential, and could light it up any day. But he's been very average overall this year.
