Campana?? 100% WHIR

Postby Jacksonvillezo » Tue Jul 31, 2012 9:59 pm

I am in a 10 catagory 12 player daily league. I am wondering if it is even worth while to keep Campana now that the trade deadline has past? I was hoping he would end up starting again and help me in steals (the league is very tight in this catagory).

Is there a way you can post how the standings look? If you can make up a lot of points in the steals category by grabbing someone like Campana I would go for it. I would explore the trade market though. I dnt think he can hit well enough to do anything besides steal some bases.

Out of 12 points available

RBI 12
SB 8 (3 steals form 9 points and 10 steals behind from 12 points)
Average 10
K 7
W 8

Looking at that I might choose to stand pat. Realistically I dont see you making up the 10 steals with just Campana because you have to take into account that the other teams arent just going to stop getting steals. I feel like you can make up the 3 steals for the extra point with what you have now. What I think you should do is try to get a closer if your trade deadline hasnt passed yet.

I am confused by your answer.

I currently have Campana and am wondering if I should drop him for one of the players I mentioned.

Sorry I misread I thought you wanted to add him. Chen might be a guy to go for. Just a possibility if you are speculating saves Wesley Wright in Houston. Cordero has been awful and Lopez is suffering from elbow discomfort of some kind. I dont know if he will get a shot but maybe he is worth a look or an add.

I could use closer help and just dumped Cordero for Minor. The Capps and Downs injuries are hurting my team. I just do not know who the closer would be for Houston and for how long with Lopez injury being vague right now. I could put in for Wright if he is next in line.

Another thought would be to trade Rutledge for Holland. I would have to get a 2nd baseman off waivers to fill in until Desmond comes back (I would move Espinosa to SS and pick up Lombadozzi or Keppinger).

Honestly dude, I don't know who on that list can make any significant difference for you. Maholm can definitely help in the wins and era category, he's been fantastic lately and heading to a pretty hot Braves team. Chen is a question mark. Phelps might not see as many innings with the return of Joba and an already crowded Yankees bullpen. I'd focus on pitching and forget about the offensive guys seeing as you offense is tops in nearly every category.

I'm in slight agreement. Pick your poison. Either stand put or grab someone to get you quality innings
