Based on needing saves and RBI's, I think you did ok in the deals. I do not like the deals nearly as much If you are looking at the deals without your needs.

Max and Darvish are a wash (both good SO with bad WHIPS). I do not see that changing the rest of the year.

You gave up King Felix and he is the best pitcher in the deal by far, but if you are in a good spot on ERA and WHIP then I can see needing Hanrahan for the saves (he is a good one to have for the rest of the year for saves).

You look good in the RBI catagory giving up Harper and Jeter (run scorers) for Beltre and Pence (RBI producers).

Please help.

I'd agree, kind of don't like the overall trades. Please answer my "Freese trade, please help".

trades went like this

first i traded felix hernandez for pence and hanrahan. i gained saves and some rbis like i needed. gave up just strikeouts. i have morrow coming back from dl soon so i felt this was ok

then i traded harper for darvish. as good as harper is right now i think pence will have better stats ROS and my outfield has just gotten crowded anyway

then i traded jeter and scherzer for beltre. third base has been a problem lately for me. i had plouffe there recently, now hes hurt. i like beltre alot and scherzer is replaceable i think off the waiver wire.

a team in the cellar is trying to move some players. sabathia, peavy, chapman are among them. im not sure i can make a good trade that will help me with those guys but i have been looking into it.

players that i drafted that fucked me:
mariano rivera. oh how much better id be doing if he hadnt gotten hurt. 6th round pick
dustin pedroia. hasnt done much. i traded him for posey when pedroia was still hurt and c.santana sucked. 2nd round pick
carlos santana. what a disappointment. 5th round
mike morse. on the dl for a while. thanks mike. 7th round pick
mark reynolds. a lock for 30 homers until i draft him. sorry. 10th round pick
carlos marmol. terrible. 15th round
gaby sanchez. hahaha. 16th

now players i drafted that got me where i am in 3rd place and rising
bryce harper. 17th round. sat on bench for a while but paid off
mike trout. 23rd round. wow i love this guy
allen craig. 21st round. paid off when he started playing

Bad move bro,

Hunter pence lost a lot of value being traded to the best pitcher's park in baseball. He wasn't totally great in Philly anyhow. We also don't know yet when Morrow is coming back, could be mid to lae August.

Darvish/Scherzer - I agree kind of similar values right now as both are very streaky, high strikeout pitcher's but Texas is the better hitter's park.

I hink trading Jeter and Scherzer for Beltre was a good move though.

pence trade was done before he was traded. i know he was one of the guys who might be traded but it didnt matter to me. look what he did on a new team when he first got to the phils. and the vibe right now in the phils clubhouse cant be good. so hopefully the trade gets him going little.

in this league we have a 1300 innings limit for all pitchers combined. what i get from this is that pitchers with high k's per 9 innings are most valuable. at least in the k department. i traded felix, and he has alot of k's but there are guys on the waiver that strike out more than a guy per inning. felix is at exactly a guy per inning.

Don't like the deals you made. Pence is now on one of the worst offenses in the best pitchers park in baseball, so you kinda screwed yourself there. The RBIs are going to shoot way down for him. Jeter and Pence are actually equal in runs (before todays games), but that should change with Pence going to the Giants.

In addition, you gave up the best pitcher of the deals in King Felix, another bad move. Scherzer and Darvish are 2 streaky pitchers, you might get more strikeouts now, but that's it.

If you played your cards right, you should've traded Harper back when he was all hyped up.
