Is this a no brainer for my team?(WHIR)

Postby kidsilk » Tue Jul 31, 2012 5:19 pm

13 team,NL Only, auction keeper league, roto style with 4x4 cats. Currently I am in fourth place, one point out of third and 5 points out of second. I can move up in SB, Power, and especially saves. I have made some pretty recent moves where I have acquired 3 closers...Francisco, Papelbon, and Casilla. I am first in wins still even with me trading most of my starters away but could lose a point there very soon.

I have been offered Giancarlo Stanton and Aaron Harang for my Mike Minor and Frank Francisco. Should I do this?

My Team:

C-Barajas
C-Kotarras
1B-Giambi
2B-Descalso
3B-Wright
SS-Theriot
MI-Pastornicky
CI-C. Johnson
OF-CarGo
OF-Ankeil
OF-Maybin
OF-Pierre
OF-Bloomquist
U-Arias

P-Jackson
P-Minor
P-Paps
P-Casilla
P-Oviedo
P-Garza
P-S.Burnett
P-Rauch
P-Lincoln
INJ-Francisco

Nevermind, the owner just pulled out on Francisco. Said he would do it for Papelbon though or do Paps straight up for Stanton. What do you guys think?

I personally would do Papelbon for Stanton, as he won't be getting many saves with the roster they've got now. You might be able to grab a chance reliever elsewhere to fill in that pitching spot.

Help with mine?

I'd do Papelbon for Stanton as well, that's a big bat to add into your OF when he comes back

Seems like a fair trade to me, and I think you will win big time if Stanton can get back healthy. Low risk for a high reward.

Thanks for the help with mine.

Now the deal on the table is Bastardo, Stanton, Harang for Minor and Papelbon? What do you guys think about this one?

So the final offer on the table now is:

HIS Jacob Turner, Jon Jay, Giancarlo Stanton, Aaron Harang for MY Mike Minor, Jonathan Paplebon, and Jerry Sands?

Do it or no?

I would do that deal because I like Stanton to come back and hit well in the next week or two (max). I think Philly is mailing in the year with the trades today, so Paps save opportunities are probably going to go down.

Please help.
