Help with my team? WHIR

12-team roto league (6x6, including doubles and holds) in which we keep 3 best players. I have a chance to win this year (in 2nd place). Struggling in ERA/WHIP/Wins and SBs, but also want to have 3 solid keepers for next season too. With that context, what do you think of this team and what moves would you consider making (if any) both for this year and beyond. As the team is constructed right now, I'd probably keep David Wright, Longoria, and perhaps Matt Holliday.

I'd see if you could trade an OF for SP. You have 5 guys who can play OF with Craig and Soriano in addition to your starting 3. Stubbs is raking now so see if you can get a solid return there for him. Obviously find a team that needs OF help and then shoot for a pitcher that should have a better second half. Gallardo and Latos are prime examples.

i agree flipping an OF for an SP, but everything else seems pretty solid. maybe since two of your three keepers will be high end 3B, id consider trading wright or longo for a top guy in another position, possibly another SP. longoria will produce at an elite level next year, and unless wright is your biggest offensive contribution to your team this year, id rather be going into next year with a top 3B, top OF and a top player in another position that is generally shallow such as SS, 2B or C instead of two top 3B and a top OF, i hope you understand what i was trying to get at there.

yes of course youre in contention so dont take everything i just said into complete consideration unless you can withstand the loss in offence, but above all else improve your SP somehow as it seems a bit weak

Try flipping Lance Lynn and a position player (3b like mentioned above maybe) for a stud pitcher. Rookies usually tend to die off at the end of the season, while at the same time you can play the he's a top young pitcher to whom you might trade him too.
