In need of Pitching. WHIR

Postby soupy56 » Mon Jul 30, 2012 11:42 am

Every week for the last few I've lost most of my pitching categories. Which is upsetting because I have been dominating the hitting categories. My team is down on K's.

Here are the best available pitchers sorted as well as most K's: [1]

I was thinking of Samardzija but that 4.11 ERA and the fact that he's on the Cubs kills me. Edison Volquez is the next best in K's with an okay (3.3) ERA. Are these 2 the way to go? Also was thinking of Wade Miley or Jason Vargas.

MY starting pitchers currently are:
Josh Johnson
CJ Wilson
Tommy Hanson
Josh Beckett
Edwin Jackson

i would not not not go for Edinson - he can seriously de rail you in no time - not something someone in your posistion can afford to do, with the pitching the way it is (my pitching is just as bad - was having a the same thoughts as you were).

as for Samardzija - not sure if he has finished from his slump - give it one more start and see how he goes but for now, yes i agree to add miley and vargas (miley goes first just for his run support and hence win potential)

help me with mine please
