Dynasty: Cespedes for My Bourn WHIR

Postby Adelais » Mon Jul 30, 2012 2:12 am

Hey everyone! I'll try and give you the best advice I can in exchange for your generous outlook on my proposed trade. 12-team Dynasty (although this year we're only keeping 12, instead of real dynasty) H2H format.

C: Posey
1B: Hart
2B: Altuve
3B: Ramirez
SS: Furcal
OF: Trout
OF: Kubel
OF: Bourn
Util: Jennings
Util: Youkilis
BN: Boesch
BN: Machado
DL: Votto

SP: Bumgarner
SP: Dempster
RP: Cook
RP: Hanrahan
P: Nathan
P: Zimmermann
P: Capuano
P: Latos
BN: Beckett
BN: Oswalt
BN: Villanueva
BN: Shelby Miller
BN: Feliz
DL: Garcia

Trade MY Bourn, get Cespedes. I would possibly be keeping whoever of those two I have. What say you?

Cespedes has been on a tear lately, and he looks good while healthy, but I like Bourn's production more. While expecting 8-10 HR from Bourn is unrealistic, his consistency in his other numbers is extremely valuable. I take the given production from Bourn and possible upside of 8-10 HR over the still relative unknown of Cespedes. Tough call though....

I also lean towards Bourne. Depends where you feel your biggest needs are and whether you are in contention this year and if so, which categories are most critical. In absence of that info, I lean towards Bourne since he's a 3 category stud with the steals.
