!2 team deep, involved H2H league. 2 Keepers. Currently in 3rd and trying to make a push for the plaque. Truth be told I'm just effin fed up w Dunn in a H2H league and would rather absolve myself of him. I dont really need Bourn but I feel like I'm getting the best player in this deal and it opens a roster spot for the returning injured. In my mind its a wash just looking for different opinions. I don't think this deal necessarily helps you make a push for the trophy, but it does what you want it to in freeing up a spot for Marcum off the DL. If you wanna get rid of Dunn that bad, try to package him with Fowler for a SP. You need help there more than you do in the OF. Keep the talks going with this trade partner until you can test Dunn's value for a SP. If you can't land a SP, then this Bourn trade is not bad.
In terms of keeper. You aren't keeping either Dunn, Fowler, or Bourn with Kemp and Trout obviously your two keepers. Dunn is on your bench and Bourn is an upgrade over Fowler this season. Obviously Bourn gets you more SB, Runs, and Avg, but Fowler/Dunn get you RBI and HR. Like the other guy said this clears up a roster spot too. Personally if we were talking player value I would rather have the best player (Bourn), but this trade makes sense for you. Help me: viewtopic.php?f=26&t=451157
This deal is excellent for you as Bourn+Player X shouldn't have too much trouble outperforming Dunn/Fowler. And Dunn is on your bench anyways, so you don't even need that much. This trade makes a lot of sense, I would do it.
I am a Dunn owner and understand your frustration. I also own a lot of the same SP's that you have. Trade Dunn (maybe with another player) for a decent SP. McDonald is having his issues, and Sale can always reaggravate his injury or get shut down. Peavy is a bit of a risk too. (Consider dropping Cashner and moving Desmond to the DL to free up a spot.)
I concur with prior sentiments--I like Bourne. Dunn rides the pine and frankly Alvarez is similar type player (lots of homers with a crappy average). I'd go after Bourne. I also agree that before you do that, see if someone will give you a top SP (or tier 2 SP) for Dunn and Fowler. With Dunn's HR stats this year, someone might jump on that especially if they need homers, but if not, take Bourne.
