Drop Arod?

Postby nickels2012 » Thu Jul 26, 2012 11:11 am

Currently have him in a DL slot. Says he will return in 8 weeks that would pretty much mean rest of fantasy season no? I have 3 games left until our playoffs which I will make.

Keep him in the DL spot for now or drop him?

Couldn't you leave him the DL spot until someone else needs to take that spot? I'd just hang onto him ... sometimes people come back a little earlier.

I am holding on to him in my H2H league because he should come back for the fantasy playoffs. He could be really valuable in the playoff race.

I'm a little confused by the OP (sorry man). But that's the whole point of the DL slot. Unless you're saying you want to stash somebody else there. I would leave AROD on the DL slot rather than dump him and have no one on the DL Slot. He may be of value yet at the end of the season.

Unless you need to drop someone else from a DL spot to hang on to A-Rod then you need to hold in just in case. Drag your feet a while. If you have to drop someone .... I guess it depends on who that player is, but A-Rod would likely be the one cut.

I'm in the same boat with ARod. We have 2 DL spots and I have Votto and Tulo in them.. so ARod and Konerko (7-day) are tying up roster spots and I need another SP. Does it make sense for me to drop ARod since he's only a bench bat for me even when he returns.
