AL-only - #1 WW on Anibal Sanchez?

AL-only roto. I lead most pitching categories, though I'm battling at the top in QS and K. The 2nd place team is real weak in pitching, so I want to deny him the chance to add a decent pitcher. But I really need a bat...my offense has been sinking and I've lost my lead in the league overall because of this and now it's head to head with the 2nd place team. So do you guys think Anibal is the best guy coming over to the AL, does it make sense to add him just to block another team from improving, or should I wait for a bat -- just not seeing any impact bats being rumored to move leagues right now.

The roster spot I'm using for Sanchez is the one being vacated by Colby Lewis and his season ending surgery.

Get Sanchez and secure your pitching stats. At worst, he's a great trade chip to get that bat you need. Denying the other guy his needed pitching is a good move, but understand that even if you get Sanchez another good pitcher might come along anyway. I still wouldn't want to pass up Sanchez in an AL-Only.
