Trade Dump - Advice needed

12 team Mixed H2H Auction keeper league.

This trade just went down and will basically gift wrap the 2012 title for the team that is one game ahead of me. Not sure how to combat this but would welcome any suggestions. Our trade deadline is July 31st.

Team 1 (in last place) trades Ian Kinsler ($39), Justin Upton ($38), Paul Konerko ($30), Hiroki Kuroda, Jake Peavy and Josh Beckett.

Team 2 (first place) trades Joey Votto, Ben Zobrist, Alfonso Soriano, Chris Young, Derek Lowe and Kevin Millwood.

Votto is a solid keeper value ($22) but that is about it otherwise Team 2 upgraded royally.

Wow, that's a crap trade. Votto is great and all, but Kinsler, Upton and even Konerko are possible keepers. Sorry man, it's going to be tough to counter that one with someone else but you might have to try.

I don't know enough to know whether this is a fair trade or no. One guy might be going for the championship and one guy might be trying to build a budget for next year's draft and stocking his team with value-Votto at $22 is a great deal for a keeper league with a budget, it might be totally valid from that perspective.
