Ding Dong... the Bell is Dead? Or is he?

Postby FantasySportsMaven » Tue Jul 24, 2012 7:46 pm

16 team dynasty H2H points league. In 2nd place overall, 1st in my division, 3rd in scoring.
Pitcher scoring for just about everything including saves and holds(only 1pt difference between the two).
Daily Roster Changes with Starting Positions: 3SP, 4RP, 1P.
Most days I can start all 6 of my RPs because Wilhelmsen is listed as a P and can start in an SP spot, while I start one of the RPs in the P spot.(hope that makes sense?)

Thinking about dropping Heath Bell for another young starting pitcher or for an RP with holds now and maybe future saves?

Here is my current big league pitching roster:
SPs: Niese, Liriano, Detweiler, Sheets, Karstens, Villanueva, Tillman, Laffey.
RPs: Rodney, Cishek, Frieri, Cordero, Wilhelmsen, Bell.

Is the Bell dead or should I hang onto him and hope for a trade to a very needy and wealthy MLB contender?

Tough to say without knowing who you are eyeing.
Since it is a 16 team dynasty I have to imagine the usual suspects are all claimed...Bard and players of that ilk. As much as I'm done with Bell, you may have to hold him.

I think you should shop him as you've got a decent amount of saves on hand, but what you can get for Bell is probably very little in a dynasty league. Your starting pitching could use the help, though, so I would at least float him out there.
