Plagued by injuries right now, should I trade Old Man Utley for Jeter?

I offered Utley for A.Escobar, but was countered with Jeter. Don't really want Jeter b/c he's 38 and I don't want him to retire at the end of the year.

Plz, help as quickly as possible. Would like to make this move before start time today if all approves.

Or should I shop Desmond around ?

I know it's past your hopeful deadline, but I don't see the point in trading for Jeter unless you want to wash your hands of Utley's knees. At least you can trust that Jeter will play nearly every day and be in a potent lineup. I'd hang onto Desmond for some late season help, but if someone is willing to offer up something valuable for a guy who looks to be out a month then jump on it.

This is how the deal went down:

Send: Utley and 3rd Round pick
Received: Jeter and 1st Round pick

Nothing flashy but I'm all in at this point so I needed a "cheap" producing SS to buy time until Desmond gets back.
